However, you've been around the block many times, you realize that in government, there is a thing called Politics. High level government officials make promises prior to being elected or re-elected. This may very well be a campaign promise being kept. As for the media coverage - or the lack thereof - why should this baffle you? You should be asking a bigger and broader question: Why does it seem that the Charleston media in general, have a lack of curiosity? Logical questions all.
