The Partnership
As envisioned by the U.S. Department of Labor and WorkForceWV, the WorkForceWV GREEN-UP Council is responsible for coordinating regional sector-based economic and workforce development activities for the green energy sector. Championed by the National Governors’ Association and other organizations, sector partnerships are intended to bring together business, labor, non-profit organizations, education and training providers, and others to address the long-term needs of a particular economic sector. The Work
The WorkForce West Virginia GREEN-UP Council has accomplished much during its short existence. Below are some important GREEN-UP Council documents, including a Charter that outlines the goals, objectives, and activities of the Council and a Green Jobs Education and Training Plan developed specifically to assist WorkForce West Virginia in its application for $6 million in funds from the U.S. Department of Labor to support green jobs education and training activities. The GREEN-UP Council looks forward to building upon its initial success.
